A northern Wisconsin man has been arrested after deputies found him lying in a vehicle that was in a ditch along Highway 60 near Bridgeport. A report from the Crawford County sheriff’s department says officials were called about 9:45 last Friday night regarding a suspicious vehicle. Witnesses told authorities the vehicle’s interior and exterior lights were on – and loud music was coming from the vehicle. Deputies discovered 27-year-old Nicholas Goodwin of Ellsworth inside the vehicle. He told officers he thought he was at an establishment in River Falls (which is about 175 miles north of Bridgeport). Deputies said Ellsworth showed signs of narcotics impairment. He was arrested on charges of fourth-offense operating with a restricted controlled substance, operating after revocation and a probation violation.
