Home Destroyed By Fire in Mineral Point

Iowa County officials responded to a structure fire shortly after 12:30 on Wednesday. The fire occurred at an address in the 2100 block of County Road Y, just off Highway 151 in the Town of Mineral Point. The homeowner, Pam Lindauer, says she believes it was caused by a wood stove in the garage. The Mineral Point Fire Department, Dodgeville Fire Department, Hollandale Fire Department, Mineral Point EMS and the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office all responded to the scene. Iowa County Emergency Management Coordinator Keith Hurlbert said the fire was under control quickly, but the home is considered a total loss. No injuries were reported.
