Jo Daviess County authorities have issued a reminder that the operation of all-terrain vehicles, utility vehicles, golf carts and other non-highway motorcycles is prohibited on streets, roads and highways in the county, except when authorized by a unit of local government. The Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Department noted in a press release that violations of the law could result in citations and vehicles being removed from the scene. According to a report, the sheriff’s department plans to increase enforcement of the prohibition in an effort to increase awareness and safety.
