On Thursday morning, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office was notified of damage done to a wall of the Wyalusing Township Shop Building on Dry Hollow Road. After an investigation, it was determined that 69 year old Jon Cooley of Bagley was the driver involved in the crash. Cooley had been operating his Chevy Silverado truck the prior evening between 11 pm and Midnight, when he turned around in the Township Shop parking lot, striking the side of the building in the process. Cooley left the scene and was then involved in a separate crash when he entered the ditch at County Highway P and Cooley Lane, striking several fence posts. The fence posts and field happen to be owned by Cooley himself. The Wyalusing Township building had significant damage to one exterior and interior wall. The truck had moderate damage from both crashes. Cooley was cited for Hit and Run-Property Adjacent to the Highway and Failure to Notify Police of an Accident.
