Police say one person was injured in a two-vehicle crash Monday in Dubuque. 42 year old Dereka Williams of Dubuque was taken by private vehicle to MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center for treatment of her injuries. Police said Williams was traveling west on East 17th Street shortly after 4:30 p.m. Monday when a vehicle driven north on Jackson Street by 19 year old Rex Blaine of Benton failed to stop at a stop sign, entered the intersection and struck Williams’ vehicle. Blaine was cited with failure to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way. Williams was cited with failure to provide proof of financial liability.
