A man from Muscoda died in a head-on crash in Iowa County Thursday afternoon. According to the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened just after 4 p.m. on Highway 130, south of Highway 133 in Lone Rock. Multiple emergency crews responded and found two vehicles with heavy damage that were blocking the road. A report from the sheriff’s office said 57 year old Dale Shemak of Muscoda died at the scene. It was determined that Shemak’s car crossed the centerline and hit a vehicle head on. The second driver was badly hurt and was taken to the hospital via UW Med Flight. The crash remains under investigation.
