Two Vehicle Crash in Jo Daviess County

The Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s department received a report of a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of U.S. Highway 20 and South Massbach Road in rural Stockton Monday at 7:49am. Prior to the collision, 26 year old Katie Race of Elizabeth was driving her vehicle north on South Massbach Road just south of U.S. Highway 20 while 19 year old Austin Eisfeller of Stockton was driving his vehicle, a cement truck,west on U.S. Highway 20 near Massbach Road. As Race traveled north into the intersection, she failed to stop at a stop sign. Race then collided with Eisfeller’s cement truck. The Stockton Ambulance Service took Race from the crash scene. Race was further transported by Iowa AirCare-3 helicopter to Saint Anthony Hospital in Rockford. Eisfeller was not injured in the crash. The accident remains under investigation.
