Around 12:40 AM Sunday, Deputies with the Green County Sheriff’s department located 22 year old Marcos Morales-Morales of Darlington walking along the roadway on Highway 81, in the Town of Monroe. An investigation resulted in deputies locating a crashed vehicle nearby that Marcos-Marcos had been operating. Marcos-Marcos was traveling north on Highway 81, when he lost control of his vehicle, exited into the east ditch and rolled his vehicle. Marcos-Marcos had non-life threatening injuries and was treated at the scene by EMS. Marcos-Marcos was subsequently arrested for Operating While Under the Influence of Alcohol. He was later released to a responsible party pending his future court date. Marcos-Marcos will be issued additional citations in the near future for the crash, but they are currently pending.
