Authorities have released the name of a woman killed last week in a one-vehicle accident in Jo Daviess County. 44 year old Tanya Willis of Scales Mound died from injuries she sustained in the crash. According to the Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Department she was a passenger in the vehicle. The crash happened at about 8:10 a.m. Friday, near the intersection of North Elizabeth-Scales Mound Road and West Rawlins Road. 35 year old Jeremy Rehor of Scales Mound was driving south on North Elizabeth-Scales Mound Road and lost control of his vehicle while attempting to negotiate a corner. It veered off the road to the east and hit a guardrail. The affected area of North Elizabeth-Scales Mound Road was closed following the crash but reopened in the afternoon. The sheriff’s department said Tuesday the crash remains under investigation.
