In Wisconsin, Lafayette County’s unemployment rate was 1.8% in November, the lowest rate in the state, according to Wisconsin’s Department of Workforce Development. The county’s unemployment rate was 2.2% in November 2022. Grant County’s rate was 2.5%, up from 2.3% a year ago, and Iowa County’s rate was 2.1%, unchanged from a year ago. Statewide, Wisconsin’s unemployment rate was 2.7% in November, up from 2.5% a year ago. In Illinois, Jo Daviess County’s unemployment rate was 3.3% in November, compared to 3.2% a year earlier, according to the Illinois Department of Employment Security. Statewide, Illinois’ unemployment rate was 4.2% in November, the same as it was in November 2022. Iowa’s statewide unemployment rate was 3.3% in November, up from 3.2% in October and up from 3.1% a year ago.
