On Friday at 3:30 PM, Monroe Police were called to the scene of a reported armed robbery at Grocery Abbarotes La Orizabena on 11th Street in downtown Monroe. The initial report is that three masked Hispanic men entered the business, each displayed a handgun, and then robbed the business. No one was injured. The three then fled the store, running east on 11th Street and then south into a nearby alley. An undetermined amount of US currency was taken. Police believe the men got into an all black 4 door sedan with a damaged hood, which was likely driven by a fourth person. This vehicle was seen leaving the area traveling west on 12th Street. Monroe Police are investigating and will update their Facebook page if there are any possible photos.
