Deputies with the Green County Sheriff’s Department, along with Green County EMS and Monroe Rural Fire Department responded to Highway 11, in the Town of Clarno for a two-vehicle crash Wednesday around 2:45pm. An. Investigation revealed that a vehicle driven by 67 year old Steven Cole of Hazel Green was traveling west bound when his vehicle was rear ended by another westbound vehicle. Cole had non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Cole reported wearing his seatbelt. Cole’s vehicle had functional damage and was left at the scene. The second westbound vehicle was operated by 22 year old Ryley Oliver of Browntown. Oliver reported non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Oliver was wearing her seatbelt, and the airbags deployed. Oliver’s vehicle had disabling damage and was towed from the scene. An Investigation resulted in Oliver being cited for Inattentive Driving and Insufficient Tread Depth. Oliver was released pending court.
