Police said a Dubuque woman was injured in a crash this week. 25-year-old Latavia S. Williams reported pain after the crash and was transported by ambulance to MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center. The crash happened at about 10:25 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Main and 17th streets. Williams was traveling east on 17th street when she lost control of her vehicle and struck a parked car. Court documents state that Williams told responding officers she had consumed alcohol prior to driving and appeared to have “red, watery eyes and a strong odor of alcohol emanating from her breath.” She was charged with operating while intoxicated-second offense and cited with violation of conditions of a restricted license, failure to maintain control and failure to provide proof of financial liability.
