On Wednesday, at around 7:30 a.m., the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office received a traffic complaint of an erratic driver presenting a danger to other motorists, pedestrians, and themselves. Reports indicated that the driver of the vehicle was crossing the center line on multiple occasions and nearly struck another vehicle head-on in a school zone in the Village of Wauzeka. A deputy with the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office responded, located, and stopped the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 52 year old Jeffery Kelso of Clear Lake, Iowa. Kelso exhibited signs of impairment and he was subsequently arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant and talem to the Crawford County Jail.
