Crews from multiple fire departments were called to a shed fire south of Platteville Tuesday morning. According to reports, the Platteville Fire Department was called around 9:45am for the shed fire on Center Drive Road. Members of the Belmont and Cuba City fire departments were called to assist with the blaze. The structure – valued at $75- to $85-thousand dollars – is a complete loss. No injuries were reported in the fire – which officials say started due to an electrical short in a battery charger affixed to a vehicle. Crews were on scene for about four hours.
