Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon on Highway 11 in Shullsburg Township.
According to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office, 85-year-old Linda Leitzinger of Shullsburg was traveling westbound when she made an improper U-turn. 43-year-old Jeffery Bennett of Darlington, also traveling westbound, struck Leitzinger head-on.
Leitzinger, Bennett, and Bennett’s passenger, 58-year-old Anna Smith of Shullsburg, were all transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene. Leitzinger was cited for improper left turn.
