A recent spike in vandalism may prompt the City of Mineral Point to close public facilities. In a social media post last week, the City of Mineral Point announced an increase in vandalism at public facilities, particularly in public restrooms. Incidents have included graffiti and writing on walls and fixtures, damage to drywall and equipment, excessive waste of supplies, and other unsanitary conditions that require extensive cleanup and repairs. In the post, the City said if the damage and abuse continue, the City may be forced to limit access to certain facilities or adjust operating hours. If you witness vandalism or suspicious activity, please contact the Mineral Point Police Department.
