Friday morning, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a one-vehicle rollover crash on Highway 18/35 just west of County Highway P in Patch Grove Township. 28-year-old Brandon Austin of Platteville, was driving on Highway 18 in heavy rains when he began to hydroplane and lost control. The vehicle went sideways into the ditch and struck a rock wall, then overturned 1 to 2 times. The vehicle came to a rest on its roof on the highway. Austin was wearing his seatbelt during the crash and was able to exit the vehicle on his own. He was evaluated by EMS at the scene but was uninjured. Tire Tread depth is believed to be a factor in the crash and the crash remains under investigation.
